Wharfedale 15, Tynedale 34. TYNEDALE gave their long suffering fans a welcome Christmas bonus with their first away win of the season on Saturday.
They were hugely impressive on a wet day on the Yorkshire moors, with the four try bonus point wrapped up by half time when they led 27-0.
The tries all came from the backs, with winger Hamish Smales crossing twice, and one each for left wing Peter Moralee, full back Chris Harris and centre Alex Fieldhouse.
Matty Outson had a good day from the tee, landing three conversions and a penalty.
The victory sets Tynedale up perfectly for Saturday's derby against Blaydon at Corbridge.
With Blaydon lying second in the league, with nine wins on the spin, Tynedale will be even more anxious than usual to burst the Crow Trees bubble.
