Trial success

TWO teenage rugby players passed the test to earn a place in the North of England U18 representative final squad of 22.

Prudhoe’s Sean Brown and Stocksfield’s Nick Cairns impressed in a trial game with Newcastle Falcons Academy, despite the team losing 21-8.

Brown, a current Falcons Academy member, and Cairns, who plays for Tynedale Colts, will line up against Midlands in the opening divisional match on Sunday, weather permitting.
