School's pool success

SIX schools contested the Tyneside Schools Swimming Championships for boys.
The Haydon Bridge High School year 10+9 team of Daniel Rushton, Mark Todhunter, Jake Sloan, Connor Reid and George Bell performed really well to finish as runners-up – all the other schools have their own swimming pools!
Haydon Bridge had no winners but Daniel, Mark and Jake were all runners up in their individual events and all five boys featured in at least one runner up relay team.
In the seniors, Alistair Gebbels and Robert Howieson from year 11 again competed well, finishing in second place in at least one event.
