Pigeon reports

HUNTINGDON was the racepoint for the district’s homing societies race on Sunday

Prudhoe Homing Society members sent 131 birds.

In the Tynedale Homing Society had eight members sending 76 birds.

Acomb's Tom Leadbitter’s birds filled five of the first seven positions.

Hindmarch and Telfer came out on top of Tyne Valley Homing Society’s race , from a field of 77 birds.

Haltwhistle Flying Club sent 25 birds to Huntingdon, and Colin Creighton had the of the first four back, his winner being a yearling dark chequer hen which had a 15 minute lead in only its second race.

Haltwhistle members also raced 21 birds from Lymm in Cheshire.
