HEXHAM Ladies’ Netball club is going from strength to strength.

The ‘A’ team (pictured above) had a successful winter season last year and won the Northumberland Division Three title.

They are now competing in Division Two and are currently third in the table.

They are also competing in the regional league where they compete against the likes of Team Northumbria who compete in the netball equivalent of football’s Premier League.

The team have enjoyed the challenge of playing against some extremely talented players who are regulars in the England squad.

Hexham Ladies now have an established ‘B’ team (pictured below) who have also entered the Northumberland League and a friendly league based at All Saints College in Newcastle.

The team won the ‘Most Improved Team’ trophy at All Saints College at the end of the summer league.

The team were rewarded for their hard work and commitment to the game.

Hexham Ladies Netball Club would like to thank Izzy Davidson for giving up her time free of charge to assist with coaching.

New players are always welcome to come along to training which is fun and friendly.

You do not have to play in matches to join the club but can play for fun or to work on your fitness!

Training takes place on Tuesdays 7pm-9pm at Haydon Bridge High School, Sports Hall (term time only).

The club are also looking for sponsorship to assist with hall hire fees, kit and travel costs. Any support would be much appreciated.
