CORBRIDGE U11 brought home the Northumberland County Cup as they defeated local rivals Tynedale in a high scoring game.
Batting first, Corbridge were in impressive form as they lost just one wicket, a run out, with county players Scott and Anderson finding the boundary regularly.
They set their opponents a formidable target of 264 to chase, Tynedale requiring four runs an over.
They got off to a a solid start, being on 230 after their first two pairs, but Corbridge kept it tight in the third pair and picked up a crucial wicket.
It came down to the last pair, and a couple of early fours gave Tyne hope but Tom Scott bowled Michael Watts to end Tynedale’s chase on 240.

A workman was buried alive while digging a drain in the Prudhoe Urban Council's housing estate at Oaklands.
Workmates rushed to the aid of 50-year-old Richard Barclay, of Stocksfield, when the wall of the trench he was digging collapsed.
They managed to dig his head and shoulders free before finally pulling him from the earth. He was found to be suffering from shock and bruising.
