Hexham bid for final glory

NORTHERN Alliance Division Two side New Fordley stand in the way of Hexham making the final of the Northumberland FA Minor Cup.

The Division One club will welcome their lower ranked opponents to Wentworth tomorrow at 1.30pm, with a date in the final with either Red House Farm or Cullercoats awaiting the winners.

Wallington welcome Newcastle University as they bid to continue their assault of the Division One title, while Alston are also at home with the visit of Grainger Park BC.,

Stocksfield travel to Carlisle City in Premier Division, and Ponteland United also face a trip to Cumbria to play Northbank in Division One. Heddon are away at Gosforth Bohemians.

After last week's snow, the Hexham and District Sunday League will try again to find the finalists of the Standing Stone DOS Tommy Jackson President's Cup. FC Stocksfield host Halfway House Prudhoe and Division Two's The Falcon Prudhoe welcome Haltwhistle Conservatives.

In the pick of the league action, Prudhoe Town have a chance to go to the top of Division One with success over bottom club Dr Syntax Prudhoe.
