Testing time for footballers

FOOTBALLERS have the opportunity to show what they can do with two clubs from the district holding trial in the next few weeks.

Stocksfield, who play in the Northern Alliance Premier Division, are staging two trial games prior to pre-season training. The first trial game will take place at Prudhoe High School Football Centre, on Thursday June 28, when players are requested to arrive for 6pm.

The second will take place on June 30 at the Stocksfield Sports Ground, when players should arrive for 10am.

For more information contact the club via email at stocksfieldfc@hotmail.co.uk or via Twitter at http://twitter.com/Stocksfieldfc

Corbridge United U21s are also holding two new squad training sessions on July 8 and 22.

This is a new and exciting period for United, and any players will be welcome.

The new Northumberland Under 21 League gives players the chance to play in against some of the most established clubs in the region before experiencing the senior game.

The sessions will take place at Tynedale Rugby Club at 2pm.
