Minis get under way

TYNEDALE Mini-Soccer League kicks off tomorrow morning and, once again, is most generously supported by sponsor Alex Waters, of TVI Commercial, Hexham.
Ryton and Crawcrook Albion are interesting newcomers to Division One, while Prudhoe YC Blues hope to carry on their success of last season. Disappointingly, though, the non-competitive U8 league has been reduced to eight teams.
Haydon Bridge will once again be the venue for the Ivory Gray MBE Trophy on Thursday evening, kick off 6.30pm.
This will be contested by last season’s Division Two champions Throckley Magpies Inter U10 and President’s Trophy winners Corbridge United U10.

Work was due to start on the houses at the end of August, but Prudhoe Urban Council decided to sanction the test drilling after fears the properties' foundations would need reinforcing because of subsidence.
