THE TVI Commercial Tynedale Mini-Soccer League will hold its own version of the FA Community Shield on Tuesday.

The west division’s Ivor Gray MBE Trophy will be contested between division two champions Throckley Magpies and runners-up Corbridge United at Haydon Bridge with a 6.30pm kick off.

A collection will be taken on behalf of the Great North Air Ambulance.

Meanwhile, the mini-soccer league will hold its pre-season meeting on Wednesday evening at Hexham;s Wentworth Leisure Centre at 7.30pm and all clubs must be represented. League fines are now due and can be paid on the night.

The league will kick off on Saturday, September 11, with a programme of local games to be played in the midweek following.
