Ladies slip back

TYNEDALE Ladies’ title charge hit a blip as they were held to a 1-1 draw with Easingwold Town.

But it was a creditable point for the second placed side as they had just 10 women at their disposal for the match-up.

The dropped points allowed North East Women’s Football League leaders Lowick United Ladies open up a six point lead, although Tynedale have three games in hand.

Lowick were able to push ahead as they recorded a quickfire double over Prudhoe Town Women, adding the 5-1 victory to the 6-1 triumph the previous week.
