Ladies on course

IT IS one down, two to go for Tynedale Ladies as they bid for the North East Women’s Football League crown.

Needing maximum points from their remaining games to draw level with leaders Lowick United Ladies, the Albion girls got off to a winning start by defeating bottom club Birtley Town Ladies 3-0.

They have two games remaining to overhaul Lowick but they need six points and a combined winning margin of plus eight to lift the trophy on goal difference.
