Hannah runs riot for Rascals

NOT only did Hannah Dodgeon net the first competitive goal for newly-formed Wylam Rockettes U11 Rascals, she went on to record the team’s first hat-trick too.

In an eye catching performance, the girl of the game scored all three of her side’s goals as they recorded their first ever victory, defeating neighbours Prudhoe YC 3-0.

Rascals’ more experienced clubmates Wylam Rockettes U11 also won as they defeated Blyth Town 5-1.

Girl of the Game Annie Spragg's pin point passing was again much in evidence as Lottie Murphy marauded forward from defence to score a hat-trick and Courtney Peel grabbed a brace.

Wylam Rockettes U12 drew 0-0 in a wind swept match against Newcastle East End team who, with the gale behind them, dominated play in the first half and would have scored had it not been for a series of reflex saves by the Rockettes’ girl of the game Maisie James.

Unsurprisingly, Wylam, with the wind at their backs, controlled the second half but could not find the key to unlock the East End defence.

With goals coming from Calum Thomas and Ryan Gardner, Hexham U15 picked up an excellent 2-1 triumph at Bedlington.

In another rain affected weekend, Hexham U16 also made the most of getting a game played as they enjoyed a good 3-0 win away at Whitley Bay Whites.

Hexham U13 Greens were able to get their county cup quarter final at Newcastle East End played but their depleted squad returned empty handed following a 4-0 reverse.

With goals from man of the match Aaron Wallace and Patrick Laws, Ponteland United U12 Pumas claimed a 2-1 victory over Morpeth SC Pumas.

Despite a man of the match performance from Will Thomson, Ponteland United U16 went down to the only goal of the game at home to Cramlington Reds.

Nathan Dent scored and Alex Hall put in a man of the match performance but Prudhoe YC U12 Reds went down 5-1 at home to Berwick Rangers.

Prudhoe YC U17 put in a great display against Montague in the cup quarter-final but could not dent their opponents’ unbeaten record despite a man of the match display by Kieran Russel in the 3-0 reversal.
