Stocksfield fall short in indoor bid

HEADING to Yorkshire as county champions, Stocksfield fell short in their match-up in the ECB National Indoor Cricket Competition.

Up against Dearne at Headingley, the Northumberland side lost by 28 runs despite a brilliant effort from all who travelled down.

Chasing 121 to win against a strong Dearne bowling attack, the Tyne Valley lads were bowled out for 92 with teenager Sam Mannion top scoring with a well-made 37.
