CORBRIDGE failed to beat the drop from the Northumberland Cricket League Premier Division after sinking to a 90 run defeat at the hands of neighbours Stocksfield.
They finished rock bottom of the table as a result of the heavy defeat, and will now ply their trade in Division One next term.
Stocksfield made 181-5 in their allotted 50 overs, with Neil Pankhurst hitting 55.
In reply, Christopher Fowler hit an unbeaten 57, the next highest score was five, with five batsmen making ducks.
Young Gareth Wade took 5-24 for Stocksfield, with Emerson Brown taking 3-30
