The Noel Dixon Cup for the village’s best young cricketer for 2009 was presented to 16-year-old Bruce Clouston on Monday night – a year on from his 13-year-old brother Harry winning the same award.

Bruce has completed his first season with Corbridge Cricket Club’s second team which saw him top the bowling averages.

The coaching staff at the club get together each year and decide on the most deserving recipient for the award.
