Capital defeat for Tynedale

Blackheath 21, Tynedale 14. In swamp-like conditions, Tynedale crashed to yet another defeat in the capital but they gave a good account of themselves against Blackheath.
The front row was particularly impressive in a game where conditions dictated that the ball was kept largely among the forwards.
Tynedale took an early lead through number eight Ollie Stedman, with Matty Outson converting.
Blackheath came back with a converted try on 25 minutes from a line out, and led 14-7 at the interval with a Gethin Davies try.
The Londoners went further ahead with a line-out catch and drive, which saw Tynedale hooker George McGuigan yellow carded.
However, Tynedale kept battling away, and Sam Reynolds' late converted try earned a deserved bonus point.
Only leaders Ealing Trailfinders have more bonus points than Tynedale.
