Traffic issues

I HAVE read many comments in the Courant regarding the Prudhoe town development.

I have no objection to bringing some new life into the town by building a new supermarket in order to give shoppers the opportunity to have a choice other than the present store.

Building new homes will have a huge impact on the traffic problems over Ovingham Bridge. During the morning rush hour the traffic is backed up past the Low Prudhoe roundabout and the traffic on the Ovingham side of the bridge is a major concern for the school children.

I wonder if the powers that be have made any plans to alleviate the problem.
