WHO would have believed that in my 65 years I would agree with a Tory MP. But I support Guy Opperman’s call for a return to local councils (Courant, February 8).
County council leader Jeff Reid should learn that the county is from Berwick to Hexham, not from A1 east to sea and A19 North to Ellington.
All he seems to do is try to score points over Mr Opperman, but in my eyes he is failing badly.
