ALMOST every day I walk my dog up the lane between the back of Elvaston Road and Gibsonfields/Moonfield. This lane is used by school children, buggies and residents walking to and from Hexham town centre.
For approximately 100 yards up from Gibsonfields, I have counted numerous mounds of dog poo all over the path. I think this is possibly from the same BIG dog which must use this path regularly.
I find it appalling that the owner of this dog can just walk away and leave this disgusting mess. All dog owners know that they are required by law to clean up after their dog.
Today, further up this path I noticed a bagged poo left on a wall – someone obviously couldn’t be bothered to carry the bag to the nearest bin! Who did they expect to do this for them, or is it just left to rot?
If all dog owners were as irresponsible as these then this lane would soon be unfit to walk up.
