False promises

CHRISTMAS has come early with Conservative leader Peter Jackson playing Santa (Courant Letters, November 23).

He wants to give millions away one week to schools and this week it’s millions again in free parking.

When is he going to grow up? None of us is taken in by the fantasy finance world he lives in.

Doesn’t he realise it’s a time of austerity? If he keeps on at this rate the council tax charge will be through the roof to pay for all the false promises.

If this is the best the Conservatives have to offer, heaven help us. Even his own colleague Coun. Anne Dale contradicted him saying “get the priorities right, fix the roads” and forget about free parking.

I wonder what his next great big giveaway will be.
