I HAVE just returned from another walk around Stocksfield and, yet again, I am angry and sad at how disgusting the footpaths and cuts have become.

They are riddled with dog mess, so every walk is spent yanking the dog and kids off the path whilst watching their feet to avoid it.

The Meadowfield Road area, in particular, is awful.

For a long time, our children have been unable to play on the public grass areas for the amount of waste and now it seems we can’t even walk the streets. I can’t be the only one sick of having to clean dog mess of wellies, buggy wheels, scooter wheels, dog paws.

The saddest thing is that there are so many of us who are responsible and clean up after our dogs, yet we seem to share our lovely village with an increasing number of selfish people who are happy to turn it into one big dog toilet!
