Disrepute

I THINK that some of the recent publicity about parking wardens in Hexham is unfair and brings the town into disrepute.

If we wish to attract visitors to the town we should make it abundantly clear that the vast majority of traders in Hexham do not encourage people to break the law by ignoring traffic signs designed to promote public safety.

The current message ‘come to Hexham – the lawless town’ is hardly beneficial to developing trade.

It’s only a minority of traders and their representatives who haven’t mastered joined-up thinking.

Come on, you honest, decent and law-abiding traders, where is your voice?
