Travelling

What I enjoy most of all is travelling. Not the actual getting there you understand, but the excitement leading up to it and everything else to boot.
I have been to a fair share of countries now in my lifetime and each one surprises me: the different customs and cultures, especially in northern African and Spain, the former for the haggling in markets which is not something that naturally becomes me, but which my husband seemed quite chuffed with when he tried to barter me for some camels; and the latter for the amazing fiestas and warm hospitality the Spanish give so easily; the heat you get when you step out of an airplane in a hot country like an industrial sized hairdryer has been switched on right in your face; the touristy stuff you get to do with no feelings of embarrassment, like going to the top of the Eiffel Tower and videoing everything in sight whilst adding some unashamedly loud commentary!
Most of all, I love getting away from all the hustle and bustle of working life, for a few days, a week or two, with the people I love or the friends I enjoy spending time with. I will never stop visiting different countries and I think my life is richer for it.
