CHILDREN of Stocksfield should listen out this evening (Friday), and tomorrow evening for the sound of Santa’s sleigh bells because I’m reliably informed that the big man in red is visiting our village. This year Santa’s Sleigh, courtesy of the Tynedale Lions, will not only be bringing good cheer, but also doing its bit for the environment, as the old petrol generator which has powered the lights in previous years has been replaced by a battery which will power the LED lighting system.
