ST Mary Magdalene’s Church, in Prudhoe, will be holding a tombola this Saturday to raise money for refurbishments and improvements in the church hall.
Members of the congregation are keen to improve disabled access, install disabled toilets, extend the building and improve its appearance.
It is hoped Saturday’s event, which will take place between 9.30 and 11am, will raise around £200.
One of the organisers Joan Russell said: “The tombola gives a prize every time.
“Local people have donated an enormous number of items so it is going to be a huge event with lots of really good things to win. We would like to encourage as many people as possible to come along and take advantage of this great occasion.”
