HOG roast tickets for the October 19 event, being held between 12.30pm until 3.30pm, will be on sale at the garage in Fourstones.

THERE will be a coffee morning to raise money for for Action Aid, during the child poverty day on Friday, October 17, at Fourstones Methodist Church, from 10am until 12pm. Everyone is welcome.

THE bowls teams paid a visit to Kirkwhelpington last week, but despite some really good games the visitors came away defeated.Meanwhile at home in the singles competition the winner was Jean Reed and Norman Barber was runner-up.

WELL done to anyone who took part in the Great North Run on Sunday. Despite the cold weather it seemed that many people were happy with the conditions.
