THANKS have been expressed to everyone who attended the Big Brew coffee event at Fourstones with Warden Methodist Church last Friday morning. The total raised was £82.25
A LOCAL resident has complained about fly tipping in the area again.
This time tyres have been spotted lying in the dyke backs on local roads.
Questions about who is doing this and why, remain unanswered.
We have a refuse station at Hexham so why are the culprits not taking the items there instead of making our area look a mess?
HELP is needed to repair the cricket pavilion in Newbrough.
Volunteers have already carried out some work on the property, but as they did so it was noticed that the roof is leaking. Repairs will cost around £2,200.
The cricket club was wound up two years ago and concerns have been voiced that if a team is not resurrected soon, then we may never have another village cricket team.
Both Newbrough and Fourstones parish councils have said they will support a scheme and a meeting has been arranged for Saturday, March 13, at 2pm, at the pavilion for anyone interested in getting involved in the project.
If you are interested but cannot attend, contact (01434) 674071 or (01434) 674095 to register your support.
Donations to help pay for the repairs would be gratefully received, as without a sound roof the whole building will start to rot.
