Bellingham village notes

WHAT a pity that such a memorable Bellingham Show was tarnished by turning the cemetery gates – the village’s war memorial – into something more associated with the Troubles in Northern Ireland. CALLING all former members of Bellingham Young Farmers’ Club. Lisa Charlton, the present club secretary tells me that Bellingham is hosting the rally this year, so it’s all hands on deck to make it an event to remember. She and other members are pulling together a committee of past members and other interested parties who might be able to help with the project. A meeting takes places on Wednesday (September 24) upstairs at the Cheviot at 7.30pm to bounce ideas around,
