SUNDAY is Mothers’ Day and there is a special service at St Andrew’s Church, starting at 9.30am.

ON Monday afternoon, the Market Place Chapel is the venue for a senior citizens’ Singalong, which starts at 2.30pm.

CORBRIDGE Gardening Society holds its annual general meeting in the parish hall on Thursday, starting at 7.30pm. This will be followed by a talk given by Mr J. Potts on preparing exhibits for shows.

CORBRIDGE Youth Initiative is holding a race night at Corbridge First School on Saturday, March 20, starting at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from Cheryl Ross on 07517 140219.

A CHILDREN’S nearly new sale takes place in the parish hall in aid of Corbridge Pre-School, also next Saturday, from 10am until 1pm. To book a table contact Andrew on 07486 13636.

CORBRIDGE’S Sunday footballers from the Golden Lion saw league action for the first time in three months at the weekend, when they beat Hexham Argyle, 2-1 at Corchester.
