IT’S official at last! The Carts Bog will reopen at 5pm on March 26 for drinks. The new landlord, Stuart Davison, also tells me that they’ll be starting their food service from April 1, so here’s good luck to Stuart and his team.

LIZ Law has been in touch about a weekend of music on March 12 and 14 at Deneholme featuring the dulcimer. Now, as far as I’m aware, there are two types of dulcimer, the Appalacian and the Hammered and they both make a lovely sound; in the right hands that is. I know that Liz is a bit of a whizz on the Appalacian! There will be work shops for all abilities and if you would like to just have a listen, then go to the Crown, in Catton, on Saturday evening where they’re all having a session of music! TOMORROW night, at the Golden Lion, is the annual Allendale Cricket Club fund-raising auction, with loads of items on offer .
