Man tipped Robin Reliant over

A PRUDHOE man who tipped a Robin Reliant on been fined.
Appearing at Tynedale Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, Andrew Paul Spark, (28), of West Wylam Drive, admitted being drunk and disorderly on February 2 .
Prosecuting, Alison Wilkinson told the court how police officers, investigating reports that a vehicle had been tipped on its side on Broomhill Road. Prudhoe, found Spark at the scene.
He was obviously drunk, and standing on a driveway with a bag full of alcohol.
He became aggressive towards police and began shouting and swearing, which led to his arrest.
Representing himself, Spark had nothing to say in his defence, and was fined £160, ordered to pay £60 towards prosecution costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
l In connection with the incident, Michael John Wells, of Hedley Road, Wylam, was also charged with being drunk and disorderly.
Appearing before the court on Tuesday, he admitted the offence but had nothing to say and was fined £100, with £30 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.

AT a public meeting in Wylam Institute it was decided to split the remaining money in the village's peace celebration fund between the village schools and a planned war memorial to the Fallen.
A brass plaque bearing the names of 19 former students who died in the Great War was to be erected in the Wylam Council Schools at a cost of £20 and £30 was to be donated to the war memorial fund.
