SUE Murrill from Hexham Brass would like to thank everyone who supported the First World War commemorative concert last weekend at the Methodist church. The sum of £250 was raised which will be sent to Help For Heroes.

Newbrough village notes

THE bowls club played host to Bellingham teams last Wednesday night. The Newbrough team were made up of witches and skeletons in the run up to Hallowe’en and, despite there being some strange characters and the odd rat running around, the host teams managed to win by a fair amount.

TO commemorate the 100th anniversary of the start of World War One, Hexham Brass will be performing in the Methodist Church tomorrow from 7pm. Tickets are available on the door and light refreshments will be served – proceeds for Help for Heroes.
