Newbrough village notes

THE bowls club held a friendly match against Haydon Bridge last Wednesday evening. There was a lot of humour and some very close calls, where bowls from both teams were the same distance from the jack, meaning that there were a few dead ends. Newbrough managed to keep the opposition at bay and won the session.
