CLA backs Tories

THE CLA has welcomed the launch of the Conservative Party agenda for British farming. The organisation said that the Conservative manifesto showed that the party had taken on board the challenges land managers face as providers of food and guardians of the environment.
CLA president William Worsley said: “This manifesto recognises what theCLA has been saying all along; British farmers must be able to compete on a level playing field internationally, whilst being supported in providing the quality of environment which society demands.”
