ONE of the world’s leading wine experts, Joe Fattorini, helped guests at Matfen Hall Hotel celebrate Burns Night this week.

A Burns themed lunch and dinner were served in the award-winning Library and Print Room Restaurant and featured the customary sight of the haggis and sounds of the bagpipes.

There was also a chance to taste some of Scotland’s finest contemporary whisky under the skilful supervision of Joe, who has written the weekly wine column in Scotland’s The Herald newspaper for more than 13 years.
