A Northumberland restaurant has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.
No 22, at 22 Front Street, Prudhoe, Northumberland was given the score after assessment on March 14, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.
The scheme gives businesses a rating from 5 to 0 which is displayed at their premises and online so you can make more informed choices about where to buy and eat food.
5 – hygiene standards are very good
4 – hygiene standards are good
3 – hygiene standards are generally satisfactory
2 – some improvement is necessary
1 – major improvement is necessary
0 – urgent improvement is required
It means that of Northumberland's 622 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 555 (89%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
The scheme is set out in law in Wales and Northern Ireland but display of the rating sticker is voluntary in England.
