New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to six of Northumberland’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

• Rated 5: Blanchland Village Hall Long Room & Bar at Clap Shaw, Blanchland, Northumberland; rated on March 19
• Rated 5: Bouchon Bistrot at 4-6 Gilesgate, Hexham, Northumberland; rated on March 14
• Rated 5: Rede Tyne Coquet Sports at Otterburn, Northumberland; rated on March 11
• Rated 5: Seven Stars at 21 Main Street, Ponteland, Northumberland; rated on March 26
• Rated 5: The Angel of Corbridge at Main Street, Corbridge, Northumberland; rated on March 12
