Northumberland College apprentices were among those honoured at the Education Partnership North East's VIP event.
The event, held at Sunderland College City Campus, was hosted by EPNE's Chief Executive Ellen Thinnesen.
Among the recipients of the ‘Apprentice of the Year’ award was Equine honoree Molly Burnside for her work at professional showjumping company MPF Horse Talent in Durham.
Ms. Burnside said: "Northumberland College have provided both Molly and our business with fantastic support during the past year."
Jonathan Gill, studying horticulture at Kirkley Hall Campus, was recognised as the ‘Apprentice of the Year’ in the land based industry.
Mr Gill said: "I'm very grateful to have won the award and thoroughly enjoyed the occasion.
"It's nice to be acknowledged for the work I've put in."
Snapback Joinery apprentice Sol Miller was acknowledged as the standout construction apprentice.
Mr Miller, who completed his diploma in carpentry and joinery at Ashington Campus, is currently working towards his level 3 apprenticeship due for completion in 2025.
Ellen Thinnesen, chief Executive of EPNE stated: "Hearing why Northumberland College apprentices had won their awards was really moving and it was clear the ceremony and individual recognition meant so much to not only the apprentice and employer, but to parents and family members too."
