Northumberland vocal coach Julie Miles is celebrating a significant milestone after more than 20 of her students have competed on major UK and US talent shows.

Julie's Vocal Ovation students have an impressive range of achievements.

Last year’s winners of The Voice UK, Jen and Liv (now known as 'Hunni'), Courtney Hadwin, who's audition on America's Got Talent went viral, and Niamh Noade, 'The Girl with the Harp', who reached the final on The Voice Kids, all tapped into Julie's expertise.

Julie's impact is global as over the past year, enquiries for vocal and performance training flooded in from all corners of the world.

Today, she teaches students from more than 30 countries, demonstrating the high demand for her coaching.

So much so, that there's even a waiting list for prospective students keen to utilise her services.

Ms Miles said: "I take immense pride in the evolution of my business journey.

"Vocal Ovation's success is a testament to the young talent out there just waiting to be unleashed.

"I have always had a steadfast commitment to bringing out the very best in every singer I work with and achieve this through world class teacher training, years of experience and ongoing education in the music industry, as well as the unwavering support of my dedicated students and fellow industry peers.

"As we celebrate its 14th year anniversary in 2024, I'm as excited as ever for the opportunities ahead. I look forward to guiding my students on their journey to uncovering their authentic voices and realising their full potential as singers, performers, and artists.”

She adapted her business model due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with the majority of her teaching taking place on online platforms.

Last July, Vocal Ovation launched 'Future Stars', a series of charity open mic nights to give young budding performers the opportunity to gain valuable live experience and raise money for different charities, including the Chloe & Liam Forever Together Trust and Cash For Kids
