CUSTOMERS at The Badger in Ponteland had an amazing end to the year on New Years Eve after I'm A Celeb TV host Declan Donnelly treated them to a few songs to see in the New Year.
The TV host joined North East band The Optics and the acoustic duo had just finished their booked gig when he joined them for a song to see in 2024.
"We were booked to do a New Year’s Eve gig at The Badger in Ponteland, so Dec singing with us wasn’t planned," Alice explains.
"We had just finished our sets for the night and then his family asked us if they could come and sing some songs with us, we did Valarie, Piano Man and Don’t Look Back In Anger.
"It was brilliant and he had everyone singing along with him. We had no idea that he could sing - so it was a big surprise.
"Dec was really lovely and it was one of our most memorable gigs and a brilliant way to end 2023."
