A ROAD has reopened after two HGVs were involved in a crash near Haydon Bridge.

Police were alerted to the incident after 6am on Friday, December.

No one is believed to have been injured.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Just after 6am this morning (Friday), police received a report of a collision on the A69 westbound near Haydon Bridge involving two HGVs.
“Thankfully, no one is believed to have been injured.

“The westbound carriageway was closed for a short time to allow for vehicle recovery and the road was re-opened to traffic just after 7.45am.”
