TWO people have been taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle after a two-vehicle collision on the A69 near Haydon Bridge.
The North East Ambulance service was alerted to the incident around 17:48 pm tonight (November 30) along with two crews from the Hazardous Area Response Team, a clinical team leader and both medical cars from Great North Air Ambulance.
A North East Ambulance spokesperson said: "We were called at 17:48 to a two vehicle road traffic collision on the A69 near Haydon Bridge.
"We dispatched three double crewed ambulances, two crews from our Hazardous Area Response Team, a clinical team leader and both medical cars from Great North Air Ambulance.
"We were also support by a double crewed ambulance from our colleagues at North West Ambulance Service who came across the incident.
"Two patients were taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary."
