A DATE has been set for Halthwhistle's annual Christmas Late Night Shopping event.

Haltwhistle Chamber of Trade has announced Friday, December 1 will be the date for its annual and very popular Christmas Late Night Shopping event.

This year, visitors and residents will be able to venture into local shops, pubs and cafes of the town, independent producers, street food purveyors and while also being entertained by Hannah Lucy School of Dancing, Haltwhistle Academy Choir, New Hadrian Singers and the Haltwhistle Boardwalkers.

The event also includes the lighting of the town Christmas tree and a promised visit by Santa. 

Chair of the Chamber of Trade Ian Dommett said: “Haltwhistle Chamber of Trade is working hard to make Haltwhistle as good as it can be. We have a Main Street that is the envy of many towns across the north of England and the hard work of Haltwhistle Partnership is securing the future of the two Community Shops shows how the town is working together in the best interests of its residents. We have big plans for 2024 and it is the ambition of everyone to see every retail unit occupied and a thriving town centre that benefits both townsfolk and the increasing number of visitors to the town.”
