DOG owners will be barking mad not to use a new local eight acres facility for endless zoomies and fun.

Bark Park, in Ponteland, is owned by dog trainer Paige Harvey, who runs Club Fetch, a dog walking & training service.

Paige is thrilled to see her new business already thriving after only opening in May of this year.

"I knew I always wanted to work with animals but had never thought about training until I got into the business and started walking dogs," Paige explains.

"I happened to inquire for a field to rent weekly myself but when I noticed how much the owner was charging it gave me a light bulb moment and had me searching for my own field to rent out.

"Around a year ago we decided on the idea, however finding land was not easy and took a lot of knocks upon farmers' doors.

"Eventually we opened in May and originally had less than a 1/4 of an acre but now we have 8 acres."

Paige is extremely proud of the facilities on offer to canines in Bark Park.

She said: "We have a ball pit and selfie station complete with hilarious, funky props for the dogs to wear.

"We will also soon be installing paddling pools, some agility equipment, as well as a possible beach station and Sniffari station for enrichment purposes."

Paige is excited to see what the future brings and added: "Everything is just slowly building up at this moment, so we look forward to doing more, so watch this space!

"You can share the park booking with a friend and we allow up to four adults per booking and we don’t have a limit on how many dogs may attend or children.

"We also happily welcome dog walkers with no extra added fees."
