A BANKING business relocated its physical service to a leisure centre.
Barclays launched physical banking facilities at Ponteland Memorial Hall last September which took place weekly, in response to a call by Hexham MP Guy Opperman.
The mobile banking service announced it is moving to an office located by the library in Ponteland Leisure Centre.
As it is a cashless site, everyday banking transactions will need to be completed at the Post Office.
Barclays Customer Care Director Northumberland and Durham, Geoff Watson, said: “We’re delighted to continue the replacement banking service here in Ponteland. This represents our commitment to customers and the local community who wish to continue to have an in-person banking presence by offering the ability to visit Barclays on their local high street, albeit in a different environment.”
The pop-up banking van is open every Thursday from 9.30am to 12.30pm, then 1pm to 4pm.
