A MICROBREWERY will hold a summer party in August.

The First & Last Brewery in Bellingham will host a party on Saturday, August 5 from 12pm until 10pm.

The premises' beer garden, brewery and taproom will be open for people to look around.

Live music, street food and various beers will be available.

Sam Kelly, co-owner of the microbrewery, said: "It's a celebration of the space and of the fact we've landed in Bellingham. It's timed perfectly with our seventh-year anniversary and we're all about collaboration and brewing is a collaborative industry.

"We're working with other businesses like Flankman from Newcastle and Honey Fungus, a band from Wales who have played Redefest.

"People can come and see what we do and spend the day there. It's kid-friendly and pet-friendly."

Flankman, a Mexican-inspired street food vendor, specialises in steak and tacos and will cater for the event, while Honey Fungus will perform music.

Sam and his wife and business partner Red have spent 15 years organising Redefest, a community music festival in Rochester which will be held on August 11 and 12.

The brewery also supports BAAFest, an acoustic music festival in Bellingham held in September, by supplying beer.

"We've always been about community and events, it's lovely putting events on for people. The opportunity for us to do that on our own premises now we've relocated is fantastic."

No booking or tickets are required for the First & Last Brewery's party.
