AN exhibition will start next month in Allendale.
Contained Spaces is a collection of paintings from artist Pam Malkin, starting in August at Allendale Forge Studios.
Pam said: “The exhibition is at the Forge Studios at Allendale from August 1 for the whole month. My inspiration was the garden of the Old Water Mill at Dilston, which is on the banks of the Devil's Water. The spirit of the place is steeped in ancient history and Dilston Castle is just across the water.
"Anya Seton wrote her best-selling novel Devil Water in the 1960s about the Jacobite Rebellion and The Earl of Derwentwater's sad end.”
