A family was left speechless after the generosity of a lanscaper who transformed their back garden and given it a new 'lease of life' for their children to play in.

Hexham Courant:

SINCE moving into her new house in Haltwhistle, mother-of-two Sherelle Hill has been looking for a way to make her back garden to be safer for her children - but found anything she wanted was expensive.

"My son Asher is autistic and it can be extremely difficult to get him out of the house, even to the park can be a struggle," Sherelle, originally from Hexham explains.

Hexham Courant:

"With our yard being unsafe for my children to play in, Asher was becoming more isolated and he became used to it.

"So I applied for a grant from the Family Fund charity. as I couldn't afford for the yard to be done.

"They awarded me £800 which was only a fraction of the cost of what I was quoted for the work doing which was quoted £2,500.

"I looked at the offer and said great. Then looked for people who could help with my back yard and that's where I saw Dan Little Ltd.

"After meeting Dan, I knew he was genuine and wanted to help.

Hexham Courant:

"I then went on to ask Danny if he could make it safe for £800, he told me he wanted to donate his time and money to give me everything I wanted for our yard.

"But he kept saying it was fine and he talked about a sensory wall and his wife went on amazon to buy the toys.

"I kept saying it was too much and asked if there was a way to come up with a payment plan but he said 'let me give you the garden you want'.

"I thought it would take weeks with what he had planned but it only took four and a half days - which was crazy.

"He was great and got the work done all in time for the weekend to enjoy the weather.

"He has made such a difference to the yard. Even the bin men did not recognise it when they retured my bins.

"We are so grateful and overwhelmed that someone like Dan has helped us."
