A WORKSHOP on the perimenopause and menopause will take place in Tynedale.
Kelly Norman, owner of Wellness Therapeutics in Stocksfield, is teaming up with Lynsey Eland, of Carlisle-based Dandelion Coaching, to host the workshop in June.
The four-and-a-half hour session aims to help women understand peri-menopause and menopause, know the signs and symptoms and how to help manage them, and inform them of treatment choices as well as where they can access further support.
Kelly, a chartered physiotherapist, will also be teaching yoga postures with a focus on pelvic floor, as well as breathing, relaxation and meditation techniques, all of which she said can help manage symptoms.

"I think a lot of people don't realise that that's what is going on [the menopause]," said Kelly, adding she hopes the workshop will help raise awareness and more understanding around it.
"It's creating an environment over a day where people can share stories, do a bit of networking and perhaps build up a supportive environment within a comfortable setting."
The workshop will take place at Stocksfield Community Centre on Saturday, June 24 between 10.30am and 3pm.
Those wishing to reserve a space can do so by messaging 07947444179. The workshop costs £65.
