A JIVE club has donated a cheque to their host venue, the Torch Centre on Corbridge Road in Hexham.
Jive Alive, a successful modern jive club based in Hexham, regularly donate to charity and on Wednesday, April 6 reached another charity milestone.
"It feels like your spirit's been lifted again," said Neil Hemmings, one of the dancers. "It's simply exhilarating and a fun, sociable way to support local good causes."
Dancers pay a small amount to partake and all money raised, after paying for room hire at the Torch Centre, is given to local charities in sums of £300.
Charities supported so far include Stopgap Supported Housing, NDAS Northumberland which is a domestic abuse services charity, WECAN, Queen's Hall Outreach Programme, West Northumberland Food Bank, and Tynedale Hospice.
On April 6, the Torch Centre itself was the worthy cause supported by the dancers' funds, and a cheque of £300 was presented to Brian Massey, Chair of Torch Centre Management Committee, by dancer Catherine Dixon.
